I am offering a gift bag of items from my personal wardrobe in exchange for "likes" on my page.
As well as a comment to this post that you have done so!
The winner will be a random pick by my husband who is more than glad for me to down size my closet... Ugh!

1.30.12 // So Far Away.

Fringe Dress, Vintage from Tell Tale Hearts // Bird Skull Ring, Obey

Life is full of untold stories. When I walk down a street, or drive past someone, I often wonder who they are in this world, where they are going, what their purpose is... I guess it doesn't really matter in the end.
Sometimes I meet people and these questions still fall short of any answer.
Its been one of those introspective days apparently...

1.28.12 // Spanish Moss Vol. II / The White Witch.

Another wonderful product shoot for Spanish Moss. If you think you know vintage, you dont know the half of it until you've seen the archives and treasures behind this amazing company. Authentic caftans and kimonos rich with color, furs from generations past, 1920's beaded gowns... I could go on forever, I could play forever...
Fell in love with many things and thought I would share this gorgeous rose lily watercolor silk kimono dress. The craftsmanship and quality were amazing and the weight and draping of the fabric felt so otherworldly.
If you have yet to discover their site, it truly is a wonderland of the past; not some Urban Outfitters bad attempt at designing vintage.

1.25.12 // Bird of Prey.

This Helmut Lang top was on my Christmas wishlist but I ended up sadly having to get it on my own dollar. You can see why though... it's so beautiful and striking; the graphic on the silk was out of my hands and straight on my credit card before I had any say in the matter. I plead innocent!

The skirt, also Helmut Lang, which I bought in every color, is the most chic and comfortable maxi skirt/s I own. The modal fabric and the asymmetrical cut is so soft and refreshing. This look is the closest you will ever see to what I wear un-staged and unendorsed. I love to drip in fabric in an edgy yet sexy way.

Got these amazing spiked Romwe shoes to fit my look. They make me feel badass, lolz. Fun stuff especially when they are inspired by Christian Louboutin... The sunglasses are Mosely Tribes and the necklace is vintage. It feels good to be
in my own clothes for a change as much as I love the brands I work with. This is me unsponsored.

1.22.12 // Tomorrow I'll Miss You.

Preparing to get my wisdom teeth removed. Still, and always will be curious as to how they came to be called "wisdom" teeth when they need to come out of your head. Maybe I should Google it. Not looking forward to the most unglamorous week ahead nonetheless....

Ive been lusting to wear these flowy leopard print pants I got at Stanton James for what could be forever in my book. Way to long. Put a oversized blazer with it from Novio Novia. It has zipper clasp on all the edges. Awesome bullet necklace from Young Forever to tie it all up!

Got these Isabel Marant pants at Satine Boutique at their 80% off sale...steal. Shoes are Alexander Wang. All accessories including bag from my favorite vintage store Tell Tale Hearts.

1.16.12 // Stranger in a Strange Land.

I see so many images with bloggers doing photos with scenic Fall surrounding and cold Winter snow. I cant help but be jealous of this when it comes time to shoot my looks. Los Angeles just doesn't change all that much with regards to seasons. Perhaps I should plan a trip or do a snow dance...

I met a couple of really cool girls who work at William B & Friends while shopping on 3rd street in the city the other day. I couldn't help but love everything in the store. The hooded poncho I am wearing is from there and I am absolutely in love with it. As for the skirt from Romwe, anyone who knows me knows I the vast collection of long black skirts I have and will still buy to this day. My shoes were a gift from Wanted shoes and will be appearing a lot since they a totally my style. Wish me luck while I light some candles and do my dance for snow though it is highly doubtful it will happen...

1.13.11 // Black, Red, Gold.

I got this Forever 21 dress for a different, more elaborate shoot that didn't end up happening so I'm glad I found good use for it. I have always been a fan of color blocking of all types. I love the way it paired so nicely with the my cool Daddy Long Legz tights Ive been waiting to wear. I was looking at their site for a while, intrigued by the uniqueness of each design they make for leg wear. The black, red, gold theme seemed to strike my fancy in the moment. My Dita Mariposa sunglasses are something I will never tire of, even if my readers do. Sorry, I just love them. Necklace is also Forever 21 impulse by. Got to love the damn inexpensive impulse buys... Happy Weekend! :)

1.10.12 // Another Dirty Wall.

Hot, cold, hot, cold = present LA
One second I'm in a tank top the next day a wool coat. Makes for a "nice" manic change in dressing but it is not my choice... Very glad I purchased this VPL over sized knit sweater. It is as warm as a heater. I was having a quite adventurous day so my Palladium boots were a go to. This year I am going to try and break out of my lack of accessories shell so to begin with, I got this really cute birds ring by Young Forever which is so lovely, both necklaces are vintage, hat from Stanton James, and over sized sunnies fresh off the Blvd., nothing fancy but fun nonetheless.

Gearing up after my injury for new endeavors for work. Very exciting stuff I will share in time. Did I mention at any point that I thought this was going to be a great year? I feel that way at least; hopeful :) .

1.8.12 // Hallways to Nowhere.

Silk Drape Top, Helmut Lang // Faux Leather Pants, H&M // Snakeskin Heels, Dolce and Gabbana // Earrings, Jewelry Stand

These are not recent photos, in fact, they are easily a year and a half, maybe more older. I used to hold a dream of becoming a model, but then there came a day when I wanted more than that for my life. Though I am still unsure of entirety of this larger dream, it has an outline with the foundation of fashion at its core. As I was looking through a hard drive of everything I have done, I noticed that though I posted this via lookbook.nu, I did not share the whole spectrum of the story I wanted to portray. Hallways are always very eerie to me. There is a mystery of what could be behind every door of a hallway. Sometimes I feel like I am walking down a hallway when in fact I am not, but merely trying to make a decision. That was the inspiration of my story for this set as it is a fear I have overcome; making decisions...

1.5.12 // Pleats on the Streets.

Roaming, wandering, hoping, wishing... My work these days seem to reflect these words. Before this ALC skirt was available, my friend Shane told me I would love it and of course... I did. The two tone, heavy fabric swooshes through the air with a dramatic flair which makes me giddy for some reason. I paired it with a wonderful goat fur vest by Diane Von Furstenberg. I would have liked to have gotten the coat version but it just did not seem fit for the beautiful California weather. Walking the streets of downtown Los Angeles is beauty alone. I will never tire from it though there is so much of my native city I have to explore and will do in the coming time.

1.2.12 // 1970... meet 2012.

Vintage Dress, Shareen // Sunglasses, Dita // Necklace, Turquoise Beads, Gift // Wedges, Michael Kors

Holy moly... another year of life has passed. That makes this vintage collection piece another year older. It also means that if my collection of contemporary rarities survive through this life, they too, will one day be regarded as "vintage" one day. Wow how old I would feel if that happens...

There is something about 2012 that feels unexplainable to me in a good way. The holiday storm has weathered and back to screen and keyboard. The mark in time somehow seems to reinvigorate motivation in a positive way. I like that feeling.
