1.8.12 // Hallways to Nowhere.

Silk Drape Top, Helmut Lang // Faux Leather Pants, H&M // Snakeskin Heels, Dolce and Gabbana // Earrings, Jewelry Stand

These are not recent photos, in fact, they are easily a year and a half, maybe more older. I used to hold a dream of becoming a model, but then there came a day when I wanted more than that for my life. Though I am still unsure of entirety of this larger dream, it has an outline with the foundation of fashion at its core. As I was looking through a hard drive of everything I have done, I noticed that though I posted this via lookbook.nu, I did not share the whole spectrum of the story I wanted to portray. Hallways are always very eerie to me. There is a mystery of what could be behind every door of a hallway. Sometimes I feel like I am walking down a hallway when in fact I am not, but merely trying to make a decision. That was the inspiration of my story for this set as it is a fear I have overcome; making decisions...

  3. wow. i gotta say i love your posts, and am always blown away. there's always so much more meaning behind them than 'oh this is what i threw on today'. without your explanation i'd have just seen this as another great shot of you. but now i get it. i guess it's a case of which door to open, do you turn left or right. i don't think i'll overcome my indecisiveness any time soon..but in the respect of career decisions i guess we all have to make it one day.

i'm so glad you shard this, even though it's over a year old...it's still an amazing time/memory to reflect on.

    Happy Sunday from England

  7. Marie, You are a model, a model of the new era. A model that has fashion sense and style. A model that has computer expertise. A model that has tremendous impact on the creative consciousness of designers. A model that has knowledge of make up and beauty. A model that is a creative force.

You, are the new era of fashion.

  11. Great shots, you look beautiful. I really like the rustic, metal appeal to your look, with the grey and black, poping off your white blonde hair.
