11.29.11 // Leatherette.

I never feel more at home than in leather. I love the texture, the smell, the weight, everything... Got this amazing cropped biker jacket from Viparo which I am absolutely in love with. Be sure to look at all their great collection of leather jackets because good ones are hard to find. Finally got my hands on some exclusive leather accessories (clutch and bracelet) from Girl on a Motorcycle from designers Kelly Betchtold. I love the raw simplicity in the designs and their handcrafted authentic nature. I was also able to snag this pleated skirt from my beloved Tell Tale Hearts on my shopping trip and its no secret I am a sucker for a skirt. Necklace and bangles from Stanton James, my newest addiction. I cant seem to avoid every time I walk past the store... Help me! :)

11.25.11 // Metroplitan Animals.

I guess my obsession with downtown has yet to fade... I wish more things in life would fade at this time but it just doesn't work like that. I was gifted this beautiful leopard shift dress from Simply Audrey and it is absolutely fantastic. The print is classy which for me is hard to find sometimes with animal prints. Its silky fabric was perfect for comfort and chic; a great dress to look fabulous and still be mobile. I threw a black fur stole on top as well as a collar necklace I got from a second hand store. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I might not even fit in to this dress now after such food consumption but it was worth it. :)

11.17.11 // Toys in the Attic.

When I was a little girl and people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my reply was that I wanted to play dress up forever. As an adult, I still feel the same only now, I am even more enthusiastic and knowledgeable about fashion. I couldn't say that I can identify with any genre and as much I want to be consistent in my look, I just cant help but fall in love with one single category. Whether it is designer, vintage, contemporary, self made, as long as you love it, that's what matters. The ability to be a chameleon and embrace every dynamic of fashion is what continues to inspire me and grow. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Looking past the fact that this dress this dress is so tight that I could hardly breathe, I felt like a barbie doll which is a look I typically try to avoid but sometimes women need to feel empowered and feeling beautiful is necessary.
The dress is by Please Doing Business which I got from my new favorite shop Stanton James. Sunglesses are Dita, shoes are Barneys Co Op and vintage necklace from Tell Tale Hearts.

11.16.11 // Briefcase.

This artwork was done by one of my wonderful friends Richie and it completely inspired me enough to want to share with you all. Richie and I are huge lovers of Celine and Phoebe Philo, so naturally the genesis of this piece is born from the love of fashion and art combined.

In Richie's words... "my inspiration came from have the ability to give the same subject different emotions with the use of lines..."

11.13.11 // Standing Alone.

Eek! Its finally cold enough for my beloved leather and fur! Bought myself these amazing Helmut Lang leather pants for my birthday and I know I will exhaust them to no end this season. Ive been on a fur stole binge these past couple weeks as well. I can satisfy my want without killing my bank account on an expensive jacket until the time comes when I can make a splurge purchase. The top is Isabel Marant from a few seasons ago. I love the rawness infused into a classic piece. Shoes are from Barneys Co-Op and sunglasses are the Dita Mariposa!
What is on everyone's Fall/Winter wishlist?!

11.9.11 // Rossmore Ave.

Jacket, Ever // Bone Necklace, Maya // Tank, Raquel Allegra // Distressed Denim, Current Elliott // Shoes, Belle by Sigerson Morrison

Driving through the small section into Hancock Park on Rossmore Ave. seems a world away from the congested streets of the typical Los Angeles atmosphere. Polished and clean with historic buildings that make you want to remissness in times past for the area... The hidden treasures the city holds and a glimpse of another period in time... Time has been on my mind a lot these days in every which direction; history, past, and present and the changes happening amidst them that change the world we live in. I am currently standing still in the moment and that seems to be the only place I feel alright. Its actually a quite beautiful thing.

I recently had a wonderful opportunity working with Spanish Moss Vintage on new pieces from their outstanding collection. Not only were the clothes amazingly cool but the duo behind it all were really cool. Check out their site if you love vintage and fall in love over and over again with their archive of wonder.
