Made it to San Francisco after a flight delay and retardation when it comes to public transportation! Im so used to driving myself everywhere and sitting in traffic! It's nice to not have the corner of my eye fixated on the gas gauge going down for a few days... I have been here a few times now but have never seen the Golden Gate Bridge. I know it sounds like cheesy tourist stuff but you know you've done it too! :) I wasn't expecting it to be as cold and gloomy as it is so my Ever leather Jacket is saving my life. I bought this Kimberly Ovitz sweater on The Outnet recently, not thinking I would get to wear it for a while in the LA heat but am super happy to get an excuse to pull it out. Skirt is vintage from Shareen Vintage and sunglasses are my beloved Dita's.

7.25.11 // Black Crochet.

I have had this black crochet cardigan from Ya-Ya for forever! Found it while doing some closet cleaning. Happy to have rediscovered it. Getting ready to leave for San Fransisco this week, just a few more days left at Barneys before my work there is done. The grieving process has already begun and is the genesis of my recent turmoil. I truly love Barneys and am sad to close that chapter in my life but as we grow we must accept change; especially when it is good. I will reveal more in time. I don't like to jinx things! 7.23.11 // Theyskens' Theory Trunk Show.

Had a super fun time Thursday night at the Theyskens' Theory trunk show for FW11. Got some down time with my friends which was awesome and much needed. The collection is phenomenal to say the least. A few things caught my immediate attention such as the handbag and the fur... flawless. Had a chance to meet Rumi from fashiontoast which made my night as I am very inspired by her aesthetic and success; a very nice and beautiful girl to top it off. Of course a night at Theory meant a night at Helmut Lang (which is my entire outfit). Those who know me well, know of my extreme and overboard obsession with Helmut. A dream way to spend an evening. :)

Had an amazing connection with New York footwear brand Le Bunny Bleu. Became completely smitten with these mesh oxfords which are not only super cute but so comfortable to wear. I have been so inundated with work lately it has been almost suffocating. Where did the days go when Kristy and I would jump in the car on our adventures. This old building downtown was once a mental hospital and is supposed to be haunted! I admit I was a little spooked being there. I miss my sister in law and our explorations of life overlooked.

Very spiritually fragile right now. Entering a new chapter in life and the change is bitter sweet. Im really bad with goodbyes but I will never admit it to people personally. Creature of habit I suppose... Ive been pretty conservative lately, a little tamed. In need of some inspiration. Thank god Fall is coming.

Got this amazing silk dress by Kimberly Ovitz on Gilt Groupe. Can I just take a second to say how much I love that site. I swear I'm not getting paid to say this but I do about seventy five percent on my online shopping there. Just thought I would let people know that am a happy customer. Finally getting some use out of my art deco earrings I got from a vintage store in Silverlake and other jewelry from Nordstrom BP department. Bag is Jas MB, Shoes are Miu Miu.

Aside from that, it was a gorgeous day with the heat finally passing for a second. Watched the COMA rehearsal at Swing House in the city. Amazing performances all around. Cant wait for the record!

I had a wonderful day off work. Yes, I have a day job in case you were wondering. Hung out with all my favorite friends at Barneys in Beverly Hills before shooting over to Melrose for some more shopping. Uptown/downtown day. It was so insanely hot in the city I thought I was going to melt right on to the pavement. That's how you know when Summer is here in Southern California! Watched the fireworks in Malibu last night with my feet in the ocean; a most spectacular show that lit up the water. It felt like magic...

I always thought it was funny how Los Angeles didn't identify itself like the "burrows" of New York City. It is so applicable in that they are very much alike in that way. Different parts of town have their unique inhabitant and their unique way of life even though we all reside in the same general city. This awesome outfit is from one of my favorite east side stores, Tell Tale Hearts. I love east LA with its fun vintage and quirky stores, artsy and alternative domains, and cool restaurants. Double plus is the sunset from the hills looking out into the vast city where people are rushing about their lives while most likely stuck in traffic. lol.
