4.27.11 // Pier(ing) Colorful.

Its been a while since Ive visited the Santa Monica Pier. I experienced an arousal of memories walking on the wooden planks that cover its surface. Ive been coming here since I was just a kid but I pretended to be a tourist which was pretty funny. Wandered in to the carousel room; it is a beautiful structure full of windows and light. Got a great pair of Super sunglasses which are appropriate for indoors, which is awesome. Wearing a hat I bought at Urban Outfitters; its a little more structured than my other floppy black hat which is a nice change. Got an amazing camel colored cloak and red shorts from Zara. They have some really great pieces in right now for Spring/Summer full of bright colors and fun. Also wearing an Equipment button down tank and Trouve sandals. A perfect outfit for a Spring outing. =)

4.24.11 // White Morning Melody.

Another look with photographer Ann He. Her work with natural lighting is stunning and she is only in her teens. Cant begin to image the career she will make for herself... We used the natural backdrop of neighborhood, Point Dume. Wearing a BCBG Runway piece I bought in St. Tropez a while back with hand painted Generic Man white oxfords. Makeup done by Maxine Christians.

4.22.11 // Santa Monica Place.

Its finally getting warmer here in Los Angeles and my winter struck bones are starting to thaw. The sun is out and fashion is making is seasonal debut. I have officially started my new job but the knots in my stomach have yet to diminish. Went to Santa Monica Place on my day off and saw some friends and fell in love with the parking structure of all things.

I was having a little struggle with the colored denim trend but finally settled on these pale peach Current Elliott skinnys. I am actually quite smitten with them, I will not lie. One trend I am eager to jump all over, is the sheer top with undergarments revealing beneath. Got this one from Natty, she loves to dress like this. Its classy in a weird way if you do it right; which she does. Got my top from Barneys Co Op private label collection. Have been waiting to bust out my Proenza Schouler booties for Spring. Keeping it old school with some classic Ray Bans. Bag is Alexander Wang Kirsten satchel, necklace is Forever 21.

4.19.11 // Nymphete.

In the beautiful canyons of the Santa Monica mountains. The rain left the land lush and green. Found an amazing tree in the hills at sunset. It is such a peaceful place; quiet and scenic. I wish I would have had some hiking shoes but I didn't really plan it out until last minute. The setting sun against backdrop of nature is always a moving experience for me. I always refer to this Scout dress as my nymph dress, so dancing around in the wild seemed suitable for its classic reference. Its was a super find at Wasteland.

4.17.11 // Ode to Coachella.

Couldn't make Coachella this year, wasn't the most amazing line up anyways but it would have been nice to get away. As some might know, I exited one job yesterday for a new starting Monday. It was a really emotional goodbye for me whether I showed it to some or not. Pretty blue over the whole thing actually.

In spirit of festival season and dressing, which is one of the most fun parts of the whole shebang, I decided to do a look of what I would have been wearing had I attended. The obvious obsession with my black hat has yet to fade. Got the top/dress on Gilt by What Goes Around Comes Around. Necklace is Annie Costello Brown from Barneys that I thought I had lost but recently found when cleaning my apartment, yay! Got this amazing medieval inspired ring on 80s Purple. Boots are Frye.

4.14.11 // Floral Land.

I have been saving this dress for quite some time to shoot in. Its a vintage piece I found at one of my favorite shops, Shareen Vintage. Having found the store through my sister-in-law, it seemed most appropriate that I shoot in it with her (besides the fact that she is an extremely talented photographer).

What a beautiful day in the city; a much needed break from all the work I have been doing lately. I transfer jobs again next week which is filling me with anxiety. Change is a challenging thing for me but the paradox is that Im never happy with where I am at in life... Oh well. The leather jacket is BB Dakota and the boots are Kelsey Dagger.

4.11.11 // Brick.

In a bit of a handicap situation as of now so doing anything is taking twice as long (including this post). I cut my finger open really deep opening a can of beans. Not a glamorous injury by any means; just an inconvenient, painful occurrence. It was hard for me to get inspired to do a look under these circumstances but if you really want to see what I wear on a normal day, this is about the uniform. I had to hide my one hand in all the photos because the bandage is so ugly! The earrings are vintage from a little store on La Brea I got with my mom one day. They are so fun and when I walk around in them I'm like a cat with a bell when the medal klinks. The crop top is Acne and my pants are Seven Jeans. The bracelet is a custom Miracle Icons made from matte onyx. Saving the best for last, my latest splurge on the new VPL shoes by LD Tuttle. They make me want to throw up. They are the perfect spring/summer sandal for my wardrobe. Hope everyone is well. Bear with me in regards to posting for about a week until my injury has healed but I will do my best to post. =)

Shot some new prodcut with the gals of DimePiece, Los Angeles' urban contemporary designers, Ashley Jones and Laura Fama. Dime Piece is a hip street line for the self-governing woman. With growing acclaim since 2007, and an amazing team of ladies, I am happy to have been a part of their creative vision.

4.7.11 // Mad for Maxi.

Wandering around, something that seems to be a reoccurring theme in my life. Picking flowers, tripping on my long dress, wind blowing softly. All sorts of fun for the morning. Really loving the maxi dress trend right now; mine is from H & M. Finally got my Proenza Schouler PS1 bag which took forever to save for but worth ever penny!! Now I can show every guy in my life that the PS1 is a bag and not an old Play Station console... The sunglasses are Marc Jacobs from Barneys New York, the feather braided necklace from Brandy Melville. Im so excited for Spring! Yay!

4.3.11 // The Canals.

At the canals in Venice Beach with Andy and Natalie. Its a really interesting part of the city that I hadn't known about until then. Very different from the rest of the town. Natalie fed the ducks Frootloops which they loved but we weren't sure how they would digest. Totally ecstatic about my new Vena Cava top I got on the Gilt blowout sale for fifty bucks. I love the print and the pseudo denim collar. The denim leggings are Helmut Lang, of course, because its my undying obsession. I am not typically a Kitson shopper because most of the time it just seams like an overpriced flea market inside; but I fell in love with these earrings for eighteen dollars (most likely bought downtown wholesale for two dollars). It was the first purchase that I was able to stomach from the store. The shoes are Trouve, and the coveted Alexander Wang Rocco duffle bag. Not the best hair day but its my unadulterated, natural bedhead state.
